Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn has been an actor for more than twenty years. She is best known for her role as Skyler White in Breaking Bad, an AMC drama series Breaking Bad for which she was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actor in the Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. Other roles she has played comprise Jean Ward in The Practice as well as Martha Bullock from Deadwood. The actress was born in Sante Fe, New Mexico in the year 1968, Anna Gunn fell in love with acting during the Preparatory School she attended before her family relocated to Ohio in the late 1970's. She was a theatre student through Northwestern University and spent a period studying at the British American Drama Academy. Anna was working as a theatre actor in the Chicago region for a couple of years prior to trying her luck in TV as well as film roles. Anna was the first to get a major role as Arden as Arden when Down the Shore aired 29 episodes in 1992. After guest appearances as a Star in several TV Shows and Films, including Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue during the 90's She was then given the role of Jean Ward as part of The Practice. In the mid 2000's she was placed in Deadwood as Martha Bullock for two full seasons. Skyler is her Breaking Bad role from 2008. Sully as well as Deadwood are also a part of her work. Gunn played a role in the David Schwimmer directed the film Sex With Strangers. Gunn also appeared in the audio drama podcast series of four parts Numbered days, which was released in 2022. The story of Breaking Bad is driven by the relationship that exists between Walter White, his wife Skyler and their difficult relationship. The deterioration of this relationship is similar to Walter White's final days.
